A leading coffee manufacturer approached Aqualine by Alway with an urgent requirement for 30 metres of stainless steel kerbing to protect their production area during an upgrade. Due to tight project deadlines, the customer needed a bespoke kerbing solution that could be designed, manufactured, and installed in record time without compromising on durability, hygiene, or finish.
Our team attended site immediately to carry out a detailed survey and assess the traffic flow, impact points, and wall protection needs within the coffee production area. From this, we developed a custom kerbing profile tailored specifically to the client’s layout, ensuring a seamless, hygienic, and easy-to-clean floor-to-wall transition suitable for food-grade environments.
To meet the accelerated programme, the bespoke stainless steel kerbing was fast-tracked through our in-house manufacturing facility. Producing the system internally allowed us full control over quality and turnaround, ensuring the kerbing met strict hygiene requirements while achieving the precision fit required for the busy production area.
Our installation team attended site as soon as fabrication was complete, fitting the full 30 metres of kerbing within the project’s compressed schedule. The kerbing now provides long-term wall protection, resisting pallet truck and trolley impacts while maintaining a sealed and easy-to-clean finish throughout the process area. The rapid turnaround ensured the client remained on track with their wider upgrade programme and avoided operational delays.
